I have been in the motor industry (trucks, tractors, machinery) for the past 40 years. We are in a computer age where there is seemingly endless information technologies available to car dealers, but, as I recently found out, all of it it is only as good as the people in the dealership, or the “selling system” they are obliged to follow, and to me it seems that the whole vehicle sales industry has degenerated into a mess, where, instead of it being a nice day out shopping for a vehicle, it is actually a stressful day of shaking your head thinking “What-The-Hell???”.
I won’t go into the details of my saga, but, lets just say, all I needed to know was- “Can you get one?, when can I have it?, and, how much will it cost me?”. So simple, yet, so hard, for todays vehicle dealerships.
I endured 4 days of answering time-wasting phone calls from dealerships asking ridiculous questions, instead of giving me the simple answers I needed, all while trying to make a living (I’m self employed). If the aim of the vehicle sales industry is to alienate potential customers, they had succeeded, and I vowed I would never go to a car yard again, ever!
I rang “Auto Advantage”, I told Ben Ellevsen what I wanted, Ben told me what he wanted, a simple 5 minute phone call. Half an hour later Ben had the answers and the deal was done. The whole process from start to taking delivery was completely painless even though there were delays my end getting change-over body mounts and a body fitting day required with the use of a trade plate. Ben organised it all to suit my business workload, vehicle availability, registration demands and trade plate availability without complaint at any time.

I am pleased to advise you that my car recently had its first service check and came away with a clean bill of health. We are very pleased with the car so far - the only complaint is that my wife, Ann, finds the passenger seat a bit on the low side. The car has proven easy to drive with very good handling and comfort. Its first real test will be a 1600km round trip to Griffith towarsd the end of September. I found your service to us was excellent. I am, however, very pleased that I was able to sell our Camry privately.
The presentation and detailing of the car on delivery was excellent. We were most impressed that a full fuel tank was included. According to Wikipedia 300,000 Cerato/Forte models were produced in 2008. The car magazine reviews, in North America, rated them very highly.
